Make your challenge the boldest with these fundraising tips

Every dollar you raise makes a differnce to Aussie teens facing cancer. So go BIG, go BOLD, and make it count! If you're not quite sure how to make that happen though, here are some fundraising tips and resources to get you started.

1. Start early

Start your Big Bold Hair Challenge page today. 1 October is the official date for the Big Bold Hair Challenge. But don't procrastinate! The earlier you start, the better you'll feel. Update your profile picture and write a paragraph or two about why you're going bold. Give a shout out on your socials to tell your friends, and you're ready to start fuyndraising. It's that easy!

Make the fist donation yourself to get the ball rolling. Your generosity sets the standard and encourages your friends and family to jump in. Nothing draws a crowd like a bold leader standing up to make things happen!

2. Rally your crew

Share your fundraising page on your socials nad spread the word far and wide. The more people who know that you're going bold to stand with teens facing cancer, the better!

Share your story. Are you going bold for a specific friend or family member? Share a little of their story (if they're comfortable with that, of course). 

Get creative about how you're going to encourage people to support you.

Nominate someone to shave, cut or colour your hair — or auction off the right to hold the clippers and encourage your friends to bid.

Part with your friends and family. You've done something amazing and made a huge difference in the lives of teens facing cancer. (We'd say let your hair down but... you get the idea).

Don't forget to thank your supporters. A personalised message to say thank you and an update of what you achieved will help spread that warm and fuzzy feeling you get from making a difference.
